Mayors Cup, a view from the field, by Dina Habibovic

In my opinion it wasnt all that great as it sounds. There were many rules that i had to adjust to. Such as the goalie may not use his/her hands to catch the ball, or coaches are not allowed on the field. But there was some good parts of it when you werent in a soccer match you could go enjoy another activity.  Like the obstacle course , or learn about endangered animals and win prizes. They even had an actuall nascar championship car there on display as you can see below that was a favorite. On top of everything there was always food no matter where you were. It was very hard though when you were playing becouse there was so many fields  and you have to move from one to another in order to make it in time for your match. And you went against all ages some were much older and expierienced. Or if you were  like me that meant it was your first time and you had no clue what awaited you. So those were the ups and downs of the 2008 Mayors Cup. But after all thats just my point of view and in the end it was fun. Becouse we met many diffrent people and it was a great expirience.
